When I was a kid my mum would have crochet doilies all over the place and I remember thinking they looked old-fashioned. However, I always liked their symmetry as I find it very soothing, like in mandalas. I wanted to create something new that had that quality using the techniques I learned from my grandmother and my mother. I wanted to make crochet cool again! :) So I came up with this, made with 4mm climbing robe. I hope you like it as much as I do!
